Meet Our Founder

As a Black woman stylist and vintage curator, Kim Franks is passionate about creating spaces where Black cultural experiences and expressions are celebrated and reflected. In a retail world where these voices are often missing, she aims to provide a space where underrepresented individuals can feel reflected, safe, and empowered in their identity. Through Liberated Roots Co, Kim curates vintage fashion, accessories, gifts, self-care, and lifestyle products that honor heritage and individuality, while fostering a welcoming environment for all. Whether styling, collaborating with others, or hosting events, she strives to create experiences where everyone can connect, express, and celebrate themselves with pride.

Mission

To inspire and empower individuals through the celebration of culture, bold self-expression, and authentic style while being a responsible steward of the community and planet. At Liberated Roots Co, we create spaces where people of all backgrounds can embrace their true essence, own their narrative, and thrive unapologetically. Through curated fashion, personal styling, and community events, we believe that personal expression and collective experience can co-exist and thrive together.
